TOM’S FIELD NOTES
What matters on this walk.
Our September visit was a longer morning with Max, Starboard, Leo, and Zoey. The report noted good leash work as the group covered 2.9 miles. I like an outing where dogs can investigate a changing setting while still moving together and checking in. Here, I would plan the turns before starting so the group stays on land where dogs are allowed.

Open the original outing report Recorded outing time and distance describe this visit, not an official trail length or a promised service duration.Terrain and pace
Avalonia describes meadow, wooded and gravel paths, rocks, roots, and stream crossings. Its shorter yellow trail and longer blue trail ask different amounts of the dog.
What I would plan around
Check the map at every connection. The adjoining US Fish & Wildlife Service land does not allow dogs. Avalonia also advises orange during hunting seasons; follow current notices and avoid assuming the entire connected trail network has the same rules.
