The right service has to work for the dog and the route.
Distance changes the economics and reliability of pet care. Tom’s Dogs accepts shoreline-area requests when enough time exists for safe travel, the service, and the same standard of attention clients receive closer to New London.
Individual walks
A neighborhood or gentler outdoor walk may be the better answer for dogs who need solo handling or a lower-intensity outing.

A predictable weekly request is often easier to integrate than a last-minute or widely variable schedule. Occasional care may still be possible, but it is confirmed individually.

Travel care and weekly care need different plans
For a trip, include your departure and return dates and the visits your pet usually needs. For recurring walks, share the days and time window. This helps us check the right service rather than guess from a general request.
A trail outing is not the only answer
If a full pack hike does not suit your dog, ask about a shorter nature outing or a walk near home. Older dogs and dogs who need individual handling may benefit from a different pace and setting.
